Many a times we assume that we know more than others and that our ways are "higher" than that of others... however we sometimes do lack that necessary skill to fully discern or perceive the whole big picture...

We tend to lean on our own understanding and begin to use our own value system to begin to try to influence the people around us with it... Many times failing to re-evaluate our value system... And the problem occurs when we begin to make judgment calls and think that a particular value is good and everyone should have it and we begin to stamp it and shove it at people... Like the adage goes... One mans meat is another poison... I have to learn conscientiously not to fall into the presumptuous trap where I begin to force down my values onto other people...

i guess many a times the perception people have regrading leadership...
but really, this is not the case... as servants of the Lord, we are called to serve
in whatever capacity it may be in... regardless of leading a group of people, or
sweeping the floor, or washing the toilet...

What we regards as a prestigious job, might not be deemed so by God as he have
his own standards of judgment... i guess obedience to what He wants us to do is definitely
better then our perception of "ideal" or "best" job.

Obedience is better than sacrifice...

Just something that we must be reminded once again... to obey...

These are the numbers that became so evidently to me as i journeyed back from meeting my members... been a long time since I took such an unearthly long MRT journey... I am thankful for this journey as it gave me time to reflect and to ponder on what is the next step and what would be the new impetus for change... A time finally to think...

As I look through the names of the people in the cells, I knew I had to do something about it and not just leave it hanging... I began asking God, what would it be and what should the cell be looking towards to... and the number 40 came about. What about the number 40? Simple... Revival = 40% growth... 40 People by the year 2008... how apt... Of course... 40% increase in my investments as well..

As we begin to be united in one heart and one mind and one spirit, I do believe that we will be able to enjoy the fruits of the labour and the sweet taste of breakthrough and success...

Once again... lets Carpe Diem and move on to a new level of Glory for the Lord.

Your word is a lamp upon my feet, a light unto my path.

There must be something more… there must be more than this… this cannot just be the life that we are living for…

Deep down on the inside, waiting to explode… many of us are on the verge of a tipping point… a position where we will explode into a point where we are all launched into our destiny, a place where we will feel that we are in our element…

Just because we are doing something good or noble now … does not mean that this is the destiny that we are launched too… many a times, we think that we are living out our destiny, but the underlining question is this… whose destiny are we really living for? Is it our own destiny? Or is it the destiny that the Lord intends for us to live in…

No doubt, we can all be successful in everything… bible clearly says that all things are possible to those who believe… this is a biblical principle which emphasize on the power of focus… like the people who wanted to build the tower of Babylon, God said that those group of people are able to accomplish it… and He had to separate and scatter them. These people were successfully on their way in building one of the world greatest architectural feat that humanity had every embarked, only for it to be stopped. Likewise, we may be successful in certain areas of our life, our careers, our ministries, but is it the destiny that God had called us to…

There indeed must be something more to this life than this… I wager probably 90% of all people don’t realized what is their true element and their true destiny is… but there will always be that yearning on that inside, a call for us to move into it… maybe this is what it means, “deep calling unto deep”, that the spirit is awakening us… moving us towards our real purpose today…

Your Word oh Lord… It’s through the counsel of God’s word that we will have a glimpse of what our destiny will unfold… I must persevere as I believe that I am standing at a tipping point… a position where I will be launched into the destiny I am meant to be in…

The Way, the Truth and the Life

After eons of non blogging... I havce decided once again to pick up my lappy and begin to write and type down my thoughts and feelings...

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6 (NKJV)

With the cultural mandate and the marketplace teachings of late, I was just reading through the bible, and a thought came in to my mind as I came across that verse.

Jesus said, "I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me."
John 14:6 (Message Bible)

While I am certain that many of us would have come across this verse many many times... When I read it again, God revealed to me a new perspective concerning this... This verse like all good sermons, can be broken up int to 3 points...

1. WAY

The way... or what the message bible considers... the Road... This begins to tells us about the path that you and I travel on daily. I'm sure, many times, people ask the question which way would be the best way or which way is the intended way that God wants me to take.

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
Psalms 1:1

Do not enter the path of the wicked, And do not walk in the way of evil.
Proverbs 4:14

There are indeed many paths in life, some good adn some not so good. And from the above 2 verses, we can see that there are indeed a path for sinners and the wicked. Hence this brings us back to the salient question... How are we then able to kwow if we are on the right path?

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
Psalms 119:105

The Word of God, will light the path that we will have to thread upon adn walk upon. Not our own human wisdom... not our own human knowledge, but to be so dependant on the multifold wisdom of God. And thrust God that the Way or Road He have for us is the best for us.

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore
Psalms 16:11

You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip.
Psalms 18:36

So we have to place our trust in God, that He will open and show us the right path. The right modules to study, the right job to take, the right move to make... Lean on God and He will show you the way...

2. Truth

What is the truth? That is the Word of God. The Bible is the truth! Many of us know that the word is Logos, but we can't just stop there and be contented, we have to move on to the RHEMA.

That is the question that many of us should be asking... What is the Rhema that you have for your life? What is the message in which the Lord wants you to carry on for this year? For this season of your life?

This is a very central thing, integral to your spiritual well being... that you must have a message to carry and lead your life upon and not walk around aimlessly, with a vision or purpose...

And you shall know the truth, and the truth will set make you free."
John 8:32

What kind of truth will set you free? What kind of truth will begin to release you in to your destiny? If it only the truth that you KNOW! the truth that you EMBRACE! If you don't know it nor embrace it, it is not a truth in your life yet and you are still in bondage... because you have yet to come to a realization of the power of that word.

Only when you have the revelation of the truth, will breakthrough come in all the aspect of your life... as you would be walking on the right path, way being armed now with the right message, revelation and truth!

The way confirms the truth and the truth confirms the way! There will be no mismatch nor will there be a contradiction in this.

3. Life

We all want to come into the saving grace of eternal life. But let us focus today on the life that we all live on earth here today. Many of us are educated have many degrees, post graduate degrees and we are well versed with science. We know that the basis of life here on earth comes from a few key components. But one of the most important components is this thing called light.

Without light many of the things here on earth will be in ruins and without lifth we would be unable to see and perform many of the tasks that we take for granted.

Notice how you can turn on the light but you can't turn on darkness? How then can you make something darker? It can only be achieved by the removal of light source.. then will a place become dimmer and dimmer.

Likewise in the world that we live in, many a times you and I hare today choose to eschew or evade the reality that as Christians, we are to engage the marketplace, to engage the world that we live in.

We all have a responsibility... a mandate, that this cannot go on! We are all armed with the path that we know we should go, armed with the truth that we have to go into the world and be the light that shines!

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

To give light to those who sit in darkness adn the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Luke 1:79

A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.

"No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts in under a bed, but set it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.
Luke 8:16

We don't have the light and just hide it... you and I are the ones to go out... not to be selfish, not to be scared, not to be afraid, not to feel apprehensicve, but to go out and shine like never before.

When you shine, you illuminate the path of your friends standing on your left and on your right... They will begin to see that they are walking on the path of sin and wickedness and they will see your path, and they would want to walk on the same path that you do..and subsequently, once they repent and come to know God, they will have their own path, own truth own life and light to illuminate others!

So get off your feet! And start ILLUMINATING!

Form of godliness

2 Tim 3:5

Was praying and this verse came so alive to me... was wondering why such a verse? What does it really mean to me? As I was meditating over the word, God began to reveal to me more about the verse.

We all may be attending church, cell groups, bible studies and even prayer meetings; all these activities are good and necessary and when we attend, its like a form of godliness within us. However if nothing births forth or results in it, then we are just performing a religious activity.

All the above mentioned activities are spiritual activities and must be depended on the Holy Spirit but yet many a times we go through it without that dependence but on the reliance of our own strength and ability. By doing so, we deny the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in the meeting, and like the verse says, people will begin to turn away and find other sources of spiritual nourishment.

So let us rise up! And heed the call of our Lord! To move in the Spirit in all things! The Holy Spirit lubricates and makes things easy for us... it is only when we use our own strength that we struggle and find it hard to acheive results. Breakthough that gate of bronze....breakthrough that fallow ground.... breakthrough that dimunitive mindset... And set dreaming big dreams... Just as God commanded Abraham to Get out.... we got to Get out of our small mindset and pray and travail....and birth the people into the kingdom....

Let us Arise and Build the Church! Arise and Build the Sub-Zone! Arise and Build the Cell group!

Stone or Flesh?

2 Cor 3:2-3
You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink by by the spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on the tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

Ezek 36:26
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

Stone or Flesh? what is the condition of your heart here today? Is your heart in the condition liken to that of a Stone or that to Flesh?

The Stone talks to us about hardness and unmoving. Is that what your heart is like? So unloving? So bitter? So critical? So indifferent? So negative? We are all not meant to have a heart of stone but one which is full of life like the flesh.

The flesh is moving, blood flows through it signifying life is flowing through it, it shows that we are dynamic and always on the go, although easy to get hurt, it is also easy to forgive.

So which heart do you want? For me? I would choose the heart of Flesh, so as I can hear the voice, feel the warm embrace of God and I can in turn trust God to use me to administer love to the people. To be a blessing to the community, to be a blessing to society.

So if you have a heart of stone, pray to the Lord for a heart of Flesh, move on from a bitter one to a better one. Pray for the softening of your heart, so that God can use you as a yielded vessel to serve His purpose and will and to use you to administer His agape love.

So what do You want? You decide... A heart of Stone or a heart of Flesh

Purpose?

Purpose... a simple word, yet many people's future and destiny hinges on them. And the sadest fact of it is that many people dont even realized that they are living an aimless, mediocre life. To realize at the age of 40 that you have wasted the first half of you life is really a sad sight, but yet, this is the reality befalling many people here today.

Let us be a person of purpose! Let us have a vision to run for! A race to run and a goal to attain! Let us not waste our life this year!

So ask yourself this.. What is your purpose for your existance? Will you make a difference? Have you made an impact in the lives of the people around you?

Lets rise up to the Upward Call of God! LEts run the race.. Together.. And make a difference in the lives of the people around us.. LEt this be our purpose! To do the will of God in our generation!

How much pain your heart can take?

How much pain can a person's heart take? I am not talking about the physical pain which our frail heart can take, but about the heart break in which our heart can experience. At the beginning of the year, was going through some emotional problems and all and felt my heart aching a fair bit. Was just wondering, why would the heart be pain and grief? Is there a scientific explanation for this?

Anyway, I was just thinking, if emotional heartaches could casue one's heart to feel much pain, just imagine how much pain we inflicted upon Jesus and the Holy Spirit everytime we commit a sin. Bible says that the Holy Spirit grieves..... hmm.... imagine the agony we casued Him. Really really heart wrenching stuff here... imagine you are so deeply in love with someone and you went through heaven and hell to be with that person and at the end of the day..-bam- breakup! can you imagine the emotional trauma and pain that you will be going through. Take that pain and multiply it by 100, thats the pain the Holy Spirit will be feeling everytime we grieve Him.

To take it further, how about when you are together with someone for eternity, and you do everything together, basically inseperable, and all of a sudden, seperation occurs. The heart will ache so badly that you would just want to die! But yet that is how Jesus felt when He took upon all the sins of humanity upon His shoulders and casue Father God to turn away and for a moment for God to reject Him. The anguish and the pain Jesus felt must have been excruciating to be seperated from the one He have been with since the beginning. The pain Jesus had to suffer at that moment, was more painful then the scourging done by the roman soldiers. But for the call of His life, He have to go to the cross and endure the most painful pain He could ever have felt.

So, how much pain can your heart take? Jesus went through the greatest heartbreak and is reunited with Father God, so please dont make Him go back to the cross again for another heart break! So think twice before sinning! The heartbreaks of the Holy Spirit and Jesus are indeed unbearable!

So can our heart take the pain?

We all need a new wine skin to be pour our new wine into. Just as our previous revelation is for a previous circumstance, we need a revelation for our current circumstance. To think that the rhema which God gave to us for a previous circumstance can work again is foolhardy, as the rhema is for a specific situation, hence we need to seek the Lord continually to receive the word. Every new year, requires a new consecration a new anointing a new revelation. Every new month, every new week, every new day requires a fresh oil from heaven to fill us.

Hence, i am constantly thinking... what revelation is the Lord giving to me this year... what is the message in which the Lord wants me to carry this year... I guess... the burden which came upon me this year was not to let the youths waste their year away on prodigal living, but to build their lives on the strong foundations of Jesus.

So what is your message for this year?
