"The first method for estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him." Niccolo Machiavelli
Looks like to be intelligent leader, I would have to form a great and awesome team.
Thank God I have a great and awesome team of people working in tandem with me!
"Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”

The measure of success is not a result of one's wealth, but the contribution one makes to society.
I guess the need for one to look beyond one's interest and too help the betterment of society is needed more so in perilous times like today...
Any one can look our for his own interest... but it takes something to look beyond one's interest into the lives of others...
Just like what Jesus said... anyone can love his friends and family.. but it takes something to love your enemies...
i guess... I want to be that guy.. that one... who is able to look beyond my needs and wants... but to help and empower others...

Perceptions...
Perceptions...
–noun
1.
the act or faculty of apprehending by means of the senses or of the mind; cognition; understanding.
2.
immediate or intuitive recognition or appreciation, as of moral, psychological, or aesthetic qualities; insight; intuition; discernment: an artist of rare perception.
Legalism vs Liberty
Bondage vs Freedom
Myopia vs Vision
Stagnation vs Growth
Many a times we assume that we know more than others and that our ways are "higher" than that of others... however we sometimes do lack that necessary skill to fully discern or perceive the whole big picture...
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
We tend to lean on our own understanding and begin to use our own value system to begin to try to influence the people around us with it... Many times failing to re-evaluate our value system... And the problem occurs when we begin to make judgment calls and think that a particular value is good and everyone should have it and we begin to stamp it and shove it at people... Like the adage goes... One mans meat is another poison... I have to learn conscientiously not to fall into the presumptuous trap where I begin to force down my values onto other people...
I don't want to bring legalism into people's life... I want to be bring Liberty
I don't want to bring bondage into people's life... I want to bring Freedom
I don't want to bring a myopic view into people's life... I want to bring a visionary view
I don't want to bring stagnation into people's life... I want to bring growth
I guess as a leader, I want to bring liberty, freedom, vision and growth into the life of the people around me... to inspire... to help everyone achieve their fullest potential... I think... That's is what I am called to do... To assist everyone achieve their fullest potential, their highest calling...

Servanthood vs Leadership
You can accomplish anything in life, provided that you do not mind who gets the credit
-Harry S. Truman
Servant is my identity... Lead is what i do...
-Dr. A.R. Bernard
“Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all.”- Mark 9:35
Powerful yet impactful thoughts and words...
prestige? glory? honor? power?
i guess many a times the perception people have regrading leadership...
but really, this is not the case... as servants of the Lord, we are called to serve
in whatever capacity it may be in... regardless of leading a group of people, or
sweeping the floor, or washing the toilet...
What we regards as a prestigious job, might not be deemed so by God as he have
his own standards of judgment... i guess obedience to what He wants us to do is definitely
better then our perception of "ideal" or "best" job.
Obedience is better than sacrifice...
Just something that we must be reminded once again... to obey...
